The World Alba White Truffle Charity Auction
Ever since its inception in 1999, the World Alba White Truffle Auction has raised funds from numerous beneficiaries worldwide, with last year’s auction peaking at a total of 420,000€ raised.
This year’s edition sees participants and restaurants from Hong Kong, Moscow, Italy and Singapore bidding for the prestige of bagging home the largest truffles of the season.
Castello di Grinzane
Grinzane Cavour Castle stands in one of the most spectacular settings in the Langa, just 5 km from Alba. The Castle houses the “Cavour” Regional Enoteca, the first to be set up in Piedmont in 1967. This is a prestigious showcase for the very best Piedmontese wines and grappas, foremost amongst them being Barolo and Barbaresco.
The wines undergo a scrupulous selection process before being displayed and placed on sale along with leading local food products. The Castle is also the headquarters of “Order of the Knights of the Truffle and Wines of Alba”, of which Michelin Chef Beppe De Vito is a proud member of.
